Only A Few Months Till the
It’s been years in the making. Long before we pushed the first barrel into the rickhouse or mixed our first batch of sweet mash, we’ve been working on our vision of creating the best Kentucky Straight Bourbon. After all of the hard work, it’s nearly time to reap our rewards. As of right now, we’re on schedule to bottle our first run in spring 2018.
We have a pioneering spirit here at Wilderness Trail Distillery, just like the settlers who followed the path Daniel Boone blazed into Central Kentucky. In keeping with our location in the birthplace of Kentucky, we like blending old traditions with the science of making Bourbon and other fine spirits.
After years of working with distilleries around the world to provide advice and fermentation products, we launched our premium craft distillery in 2012 with a focus on making the highest quality Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, Vodka and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Rum. Our founders Shane Baker and Pat Heist are fermentation experts with more than 20 years of experience in the production of alcohol and some of the best brands on the market today. We expect Mother Nature to release our bourbon in 2018. Mother Nature can be a fickle lady in the heart of Kentucky so we can’t give you a definite date, but sign up as a family tree member and we will keep you updated on the release and other Wilderness Trail Distillery events and offers.
